I’m Speaking at ALUCAST 2026 in India
In December, I’ll be in New Delhi speaking at ALUCAST 2026 about the solution to escaping the crisis and gaining new applications:
How Rheocasting Creates an Unfair Advantage in Business Development
Rheocasting is usually discussed as a casting technology to improve casting with lower porosity, different alloys, and better filling behaviour. But for me, the more interesting question is what this does to a foundry’s business model.
If Rheocasting lets you produce parts that conventional HPDC cannot make, you are no longer competing for the same RFQs with the same group of suppliers. You can start looking at completely different applications and approach customers before the drawing is fixed. That is where the commercial advantage starts, and it doesn’t stop there.
At the ALUCAST, I’ll talk about how technical capability can become a business-development tool, why selling available machine capacity is becoming increasingly difficult, and why foundries need to sell solutions and properties instead of simply another casting process.
I’m very much looking forward to discussing this in India and seeing how the Indian die-casting industry is developing.
