Do you want to learn more about Rheocasting?
The high-pressure die-casting market is currently undergoing massive changes. With the shift towards electromobility, many powertrain castings lose their justification for existence. The casting machines are still there and need to be filled. That`s why an oversupply of casting machines competes for the same structural castings. They are still around, no matter what the engine is.
Even the market for structural castings is in a development process. Larger casting machines enable larger castings with part integration or even megacasting. Longer flow lengths are necessary to ensure, even at the end of the filling, a good casting quality.
If that is new to you, you should watch the presentation of my market study; just follow the link to the video. Or when you directly want test your Rheocasting knowledge follow the link to the quiz and see if you are a Rheocasting Expert
The thixotropic properties of semisolid casting on conventional HPDC machines enable new applications and market segments. But there is more to it than just changing the melting processing. In the picture below, you can see Fabian Niklas after a Rheocasting workshop held at the Bühler application center for the companies Chem-Trend and Bühler.
Are you also interested in Rheocasting and would like to learn more about it? Learn about it from someone who brought several parts from the design stage into series production. The parts ranged over several industries and had a shot weight range of 1,2 to 43,7 kg. In summary, you get the theoretical background and the application knowledge in one session.
